It became one of the fastest world wide trending topics during Armin van Buuren's 535th episode of his famous radio show and pocastA State of Trance: the Solarstone 'Pure' Mix of Orkidea's all time classic "Unity".
Orkidea's original version of "Unity" saw the light of day in 1999. The known heavyweights from those days including Pete Tong and John Digweed hammered it for months and Sasha and Paul Oakenfold both used it as the opener for their Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 while Tiësto secured it for one of his Forbidden Paradise mix compilations.
Fast forward in time and Solarstone drops his already highly acclaimed remix of this beauty. Armin van Buuren was the first to pick it up and seconds after he mixed it into his world famous ASOT radio show, Twitter went haywire: the Solarstone Pure Mix was an instant, world wide trending topic.
Solarstone and Orkidea are no strangers; in 2010 they released the single "Slowmotion" and in 2011 the two joined forces again for the single "Zeitgeist"; the latter appearing on Solarstone's own imprint Solaris Recordings.
The Solarstone Pure Mix will be officially released December 12th on Solaris Recordings as well, together with Orkidea's own 15th Anniversary Remix. Two must haves for your Xmas wantlist!
